Dear HWDSB families and community,

We know that clear, advance information helps coordinate effectively between home and school. That is why, we are committed to supporting proactive planning for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year as early as possible.

On February 23, HWDSB’s Board of Trustees approved the Draft 2026–2027 School Year Calendars for submission to the Ministry of Education, and on March 1 the Ministry of Education approved the documents for circulation to students, staff, families and community.

Thank you to the 1,815 parents, caregivers, students, staff, and community members who participated in this year’s consultation. Your feedback helped inform the placement of PA Days, exam schedules, and key dates across both elementary and secondary calendars.
