From the Director’s Desk: April Edition

Dear Families, Caregiver, and Communities,

As we enter April, I want to offer an opportunity to reflect ahead of Mental Health Week, which takes place from May 4 to 10. This period encourages us to pause and consider the importance of mental health and well-being across our schools and communities.

2026-2027 Out-of-Catchment Process

HWDSB has attendance boundaries for each of its schools. As a default, all students are directed to attend their In-Catchment School, allowing the Board to make the most effective use of its schools and staff. In some cases, families want their child to attend an Out-of-Catchment School.
